7 years/ 10k warranty necessary?

Hi guys,

I just bought my Evo 2 days ago. And need some opinions from you experts.

the sale sold me the 7/10k warranty for 2k . Is that neccesary? I kinda regret it. Because I have to pay 60 USD extra for that per month. I just want to get some opinions before waiving it. I was thinking to keep the car for a year or 2. It has 14XXX mi now on it. (Please don't tell me to do search, just gimme some short feedbacks)

Thanks

IF your going to keep your car for 1-2 years then why would you pay extra money for a 7 year warranty? I dont think you will drive 100,000 miles within that time would you?

uummm you gonn mod it?...if so then no then you might as well be safe and keep it(clutch problems but your probably screwed on that anyways) but if you are going to mod it then get rid of the warrantee....

if they will let you out of it then do so cause its not worth it at all they wont honor it anyway if you ever use your car for what its for total waste of money.

Not worth it. There are so many new cars all the time. I feel ripped off for paying for the alarm system.

Read the contract and cancel the extended warranty.

Don't bother.....If you mod it they won't honor the warranty anyway. So why pay more to have to pay anyway?

they did the same shiz to me. after i gave it some thought, they were happy to rework the whole deal. if they are going to warranty all of it for 50k from the factory, it will run for 100k without problems. and if you do mod it your warranty is junk anyway. consumer digest has numerous articles saying that nay added warranty is never worth it. whatever you need fixed on your car will not be covered, and by then you should know the thing inside and out, and fix it yourself, with aftermarket parts. that is my plan at least. it lowered my payment about 50 a month, and took a year off of the deal without it. (plus a little bit lower intrest rate) screw um, esspecially if you are only going to drive it for a few years. in 7 years i will be on the WRC circuit with it anyway.
