??? on dynoflash
??? on dynoflash
hey guess i have a question on dynoflash. i want to reflash my ecu now and i want to heard stories about dynoflash from owners that have dynoflash. owners plesae tell me whats good about it and whats bad. also i want to know if it hurts the car anyhow. thanks
I just had my car DynoFlashed Friday. The biggest difference is the smooth powerband. There is no more flat spot after 5500 RPMS. The car pulls strong all the way to 7800 RPMS. Also the turbo seems to spool up faster now. Not a huge difference but faster then before. The car however does seem a little faster but not a huge difference. This is maybe due to the smooth power. It comes on strong and keeps it there all the way to redline. I will have my car Dynoed the month and will seem how much power was gained from the flash. All in all I am satified with the flash but was expecting to feel more torque in the lower RPM's.

Go into the dynoflash vendor forum. You will find all the information you need in there. A quick search might help too.

so the dynoflash raises the redline to 7800. so will it still hit boost at 3500 rpm and does it hold booost all the way to 7800. also do i need to get the new pod for the rpm to 7800 or just use the stock that redline is 7000, not sure if yuo understand me

On the dyno, you can make sure that you end up with nice, smooth power and torque curves. And you can use a wide-band O2 sensor to ensure a safe air-fuel mixture throughout the rev range.
BTW, as long as you're re-flashing the ECU, you might as well add an inexpensive MBC (I've got the Hallman myself) to stabilize your boost pressure. Set your boost to 19-21 psi (depending on fuel quality, etc.) before the dyno tune. You'll be much happier with the results.
