Does That Light Effect The Cars Timing At All????

 

If memory serves, running catless should throw a code through the O2 sensor.

Somebody sells a device that you splice into the sensor line that sends the 'correct' signal.

Read the whole thread. I did the spark plug spacer thing ($3.50) with two spacers, one drilled out 1/2" and the other not. 5,000 miles and no cel.

 

i did it too!! it works!! no cel ! wo0t!!

 

as i stated in my post, i have tried the sparkplug anti foulers and also the cel eliminator.
the sparkplug anti foulers worked for 2 days and the light came on again.

 

You tried an 02 sim and it still didnt work?

that is exactly what to me and to this day i am running with the check engine light. eventually i will head up to vivid and have them pull that particular code. have been running with cel on for 8000 miles and my car runs like a raped ape.

 

REALLY?? it worked beautiful for me.. and a buncha others.. maybe you arent getting the same cel.. i was getting the CEL Cat Effienciency...

oh well... hope you get it solveD!!

 

Not sure about EVO's but my brother threw the CEL on his 95 Integra and we just took out the guage cluster & there was a seperate bulb that lights up the CEL & we took it out... so you don't see it all the time...

Like I said I don't know on your car if there is a seperate bulb for the CEL display... But that is a cost-free alternative, if it does work....

*DISCLAIMER* This worked on my bro's Tegra but not sure so if you take out your guage cluster & it doesn't work do not hunt me down & kill me for wasting your time with all of this.... *END DISCLAIMER*
