Someone wanna explain to me how they thought an aluminum roof and lighter wheels were gonna add up to 300 lbs?? If you put all 4 enkei wheels, all 4 BBS wheels, and both aluminum and steel roofs on a scale, it's still not gonna equal 300 lbs. Plus, you are adding more with the ACD and the 6 speed.

Anywho, I think if the MR had all the jdm features, it would be worth it, but the suspension and wheels arent worth it. The best feature on that car is the new gray color and the black wing on it.

Buy an 05 evo for the ACD and deal with the 5 speed. Then buy JIC coilovers and volk wheels and you have a better car than the MR in my opinion, not to mention adjustable suspension built for racing.

For 2 grand more, it would be worth it. If it is more than that, then no.

They say the Bilstein shocks handle just as good as the Evo 8 but has a softer ride, how does that work?

The grey metallic whatever color, the six speed, and the lighter roof is all I want. Not worth 5-10k more for all of it though. Put a grand or two into an evo, and it'll be faster and handle better. And everyone complains so much that it doesn't come with the jdm lights, well if it did would it be worth it then? Shoot, give me 2 grand, and I'll sell you some MR jdm heads and tails, this way, you don't have to buy a new car for them.

Also, wasn't the MR supposed to come with an upgraded turbo? Or comes with a better wastegate or something. Maybe I'm just crazy, but I could have sworn I read somewhere....

All the EVO's are going to get an upgraded turbo with revised wastegate.

+5 hp increase / +13 ft-lbs increase, larger turbo diameter nozzle (9.8 -> 10.5) and new wastegate shape (oval -> circle) provides improved turbo boost response.

I talked to a dealer in dallas and they said they had one coming in within the next 2 weeks and its the dark grey color. I asked how much and they said 35000 plus a 15000 markup. I was like uhhhh forget that just give me the regular one. I wouldnt spend 50g's on an evo.

According to motor trend, it's 40lbs heavier than the regular evo, and the price starts @ $35k. Track times are slighty better than the reg. evo or sti. :-)
