EVO vs 350Z vs G35c
I hope this is in the right forum .... if not please excuse me.
I know eveyone is EVO fans here on this forum ... but I hope you guys and be fair when it comes to making a choice of the following. I love all the cars listed below, but will only be able to afford 1 of them for the mean time.
Right now I'm looking into getting a new car as I sold my IS300 and share a 350Z with my pops .... Ive been debating hard weather to buy a New 350Z, G35c, or EVO or just get something like S4 for the mean time till the Infiniti GTR comes out in 2007. Right now I'm leaning between the 350z, G35 or EVO each has its beifits and downfalls. If you had to pick from one of the following what whould you do:
Option 1)
Black Base 350z, C-West N1 Body Kit, Tein Flex Coilovers w/EDFC, GReddy Twin Turbo Kit w/ Intercooler, 19" I-Forged Wheels w/ Black Faces, Kazza Diff, GReddy Exhaust, and Sparco Seats.
Option 2)
Silver Evo 8, Vishnu Stage 2, 19" Racing Hart J8 Wheels w/ Graphite Faces, Tein Flex Coilovers, Sparco Harness Bar, Sparco Harnesses, APR CF Spliter,
Option 3)
Silver or Black G35 C, I-Forged 19" Wheels, Top Sec. Body Kit, GReddy TT Kit w/ Intcooler, GReddy Exhaust, Tein Flex w/ EDFC. (Note this is the most expensive option so would take the longest to put togeather)
Whats everyones opinions?

since you are coming from a 350Z and the IS300 and you even thinking about the s4, i will say that the g35 is the car for you. don't get me wrong, the EVO is an amazing machine and i loved mine but it is no 350z and s4 when it comes to comfort. if speed and handling is what you want and you don't mind giving up comfort and ride for it than it is the EVO hands down.
this is just my opinion so if you don't like it, i don't care
(this is my way of dealing with flaming...)

I love my EVO, but I would give an organ to be able to park a twin turbo G35 next to it every night! It'll really depend on what you want to get out of the car. Judging by the fact that you want to put 19" wheels on everything I'd say your not into all out performance so the G35 would probably be your best bet.
out of the options you gave evo would deffinately kick *** on the track however for comfort and style the G35 would be very nice either of these options is good just depends on what your getting it for.
if i had to pick one of the following?
none. i'd get the silver evo, vishnu stage 2, some 18 inch volks, jic/hks/cusco coilovers over tein flex, do-luck lip, evo 7 tails.
as far as the other options go... i'd never ever put a turbo kit on a non-turbo car. the reliability issues in the long run scare me. and motors as highly tuned and highly compressed as that vq35? NA mods will get you very little.
edit: if you want COMFORT, i'd go acura TL any day over the g35. the g/z cars' interiors are just not up to scratch for a "luxury" car or anything. cheap materials, bland, uncomfortable seats. not saying it's worse than the evo, of course--not much out there compares to our bland interiors
hell, just wait for the gtr.

Thanks guys for all the coments. They helped me out a bit ..... I guess I just need to figure out whats a priority for me all out speed and performance or comfort and speed. See I love hi end german cars such as the M3, 911, S4, ect .... but love the tuning ability of Japanese cars. I deally I will get the GTR when it comes out .... but in the mean time I'm driving my ford ranger work truck around and want to kill my self (speaking of comfort nothing can be worst then a lifted truck).

As for the G35 interior being bad .. have you seen the 2005 ?

As for the VQ motor Turbocharged ... it handles boost suprisingly well if you use a larger head gasket. and add a fuel pump.

Id go for the black G35, but with the vortech supercharger for more power, some comfy sparco milanos and some nice big volk GT-C's or GT-7's. They got the GT-C in 20's now and its on the top secret 350Z if you wanna see em. Bad *** look there.

Don't you love when you ask for a specific answer on 3 optioons and someone pulls a 4th or 5th option out of right feild?....An option you were never considering or have already ruled out? like "Dood, don't get any of those get a WRX!"
Why not just tell him to get a spaceship??? Sure, he didn't ask about the spaceship, but it doesn't stop some people from recommending one.
IMO, I'd take the G35-coupe. It'll be expensive as you said... but I think it'll be the best mix between power/style/comfort

guess i can't voice any kind of opinion. i'll keep that in mind, thanks.
also, i recommended those because:
a) the volks will be lighter, and 19s will probably **** with your wheel wells/fenders, add unneeded (awkward looking) weight, be more uncomfortable, more expensive for tire-replacement, and just overall detract from the performance.
b) the tein flex are a "step down" from the stock pieces (though the spring rates are firmer) so why waste the money?
c) the lip isn't as prominent as the splitter; he seems like he wants the attention or at least to "stand out"
d) evo 7 tails should be standardized
