What oil are you using?

I am curious to find out what weight oil everyone is using?

If you are not using the stock 5w-30 then please let us know why.
Brand and synthetic or not would be interesting too.

Evos only please.

BTW I know Mobil is spelled Mobil and not Mobile. I composed my list in word first and then copied. Stupid word auto-correct!

Great input!

There are a fair amount of people using 10w-30. Is everyone using this for warmer climates or are there other reasons?

Redline 10W-30.
10W-30 *is* the recommended viscosity.
During the summer I use Redline 10W-40.

Just curious, what do you mean by "10w-30 *is* the recommended viscosity"?

Thanks,

I don't have the owner's manual here, it's in the Evo, which my darling wife gets to drive daily. If I recall correctly, the owner's manual states that 10W-30 is recommended in temps ranging from 0 deg (f) - 100 deg (f). 5W-30 can be used in temps below 0 deg.

I am going to check my owners manual.
If that is the case then I wonder why my dealer insists on using 5w-30???

It says on our oil caps to use 10W-30 Mobil1 only. I would take that as a manufacturer's recommendation.
