Is 350whp attainable?

'03 E8
Mods:
-stock IX turbo
-Megan tubular 02 housing
-3 in TBE; DP/SP/Apex'i WSII muffler
-Perrin complete turbo intake
-Hallman MBC
-Muse LICP
-IX DV
-Walbro 255

Coming soon...
-TTP Mustang dyno tune on 93 octane

Really want to stick to a "Stock turbo/full bolt-on status," but will entertain the idea of Kelford or Cosworth 272's if needed...(No meth or water injection though)

Thanks for any input!

With cams, a good tune/tuner, and on a Dynojet you should be in the right neighborhood.

Good luck,
Coach

Depends big time on the dyno, but I hit 371whp on AMSs dyno with our only difference being an IC and piping (which I believe I got about 20whp with a perrin filter).

on a "typical" mustang dyno...no, not on pump gas (excluding e-85)

a typical evo 9 can make 330-350 whp on a dynojet on 93 octane

a typical evo 8 needs cams to match a stock cammed 9's numbers on 93 octane

Depending on your tuner that should be attainable.. Look into some cams though. Perhaps some kelford 272's or something such as that.

Will the valvetrain need upgrading if I run either of those cams?

i have no idea about kelford or cozzies, but you dont for the hks's...that kinda played into my decision as I wanted around 345-370 with minimal lag

^^Good advice

You probably can obtain that number with turning the boost up pretty high, 24-25 psi, or you could install cams, spring, and retainers and definitely get those numbers while keeping the boost lower.

You'll need atleast a set of cams and be somewhere around 310-330whp. 350whp on a mustang is real good power with bolt-ons.

You'll get roughly 340's with a conservative tune , I'm estimating. Maybe 320-330 if u didn't get the cams. Fmic will also help to hit that 350 reliably while keeping the tune conservative...

A perfect example of this would be a about 2weeks ago, E-Spec was tuning a GG evo9 and with less boost the car made more power because there was too much restriction from the stock intercooler and a cat. A larger FMIC will help you out on your way up to 350+AWHP, as well as cams.

if you get a TTP tune, he will manipulate your numbers so you can have as much power as you want. haha
