Evo RS a DD?

I know the RS is more autox and track oriented, but is a bad for a daily driver?
Im not talking about rolling around town and grab groceries kind of driving. More like long commutes(100 miles+).

Is comfort an issue on the RS or any evo? Anyone have an RS for DD and wish they bought the regular models?

I share that thought as well I may even convert my RS to powered windows since i DD it. It already has a power lock kit on it.

An Evo is the wrong car if you're looking for comfort.

... but less noise dampening material, no firewall (more engine, trans noise) I DD an RS, but mine is a JDM one ordered with power everything and climate control, I don't know if I could live without those, and even so the car kills me on long drives. But they are very fun long drives

I have an MR but have driven the RS. I wouldn't worry about things you can swap out like power windows. If you drive 100 plus miles a day you may want to get something better on gas though. Buy an evo down the road for a fun car. Comfort wise they are fine. Better than my S2000 I had before it. They aren't a cadi

Sorry to thread jack but is the Evo really bad on gas even if your just cruising. What if I drive under 4K rpms all the time. On the market for one just want to know what I'm getting into.

Guys, you don't buy and Evo for comfort or for its fuel economy, or more accurately its lack thereof. You buy it, because it's a raw, uncompromising performance machine. If you get one for any other reason, or buy one hoping you'll grow into it, you'll be very disappointed.

My Ex GF has been DD a 04 RS for prob 100k now. She loves the car still. I never noted a comfort difference between the RS and GSR models. They were both the same to me. I actually liked the RS a bit better cause of the front LSD compared to the 03-04 GSR Open Diff the LSD made it a bit more road friendly.

The Evo is not what I would call a comfort machine but is def more comfy then the all the Honda/Acura's me and my buds used to own

the rs is raw and i prefer it that way. I dont drive mine everyday so im not to worried about comfort although i find it comfortable. eventually you will adapt to the ways of the rs.

I have no problem DD'ing my RS. Unlocking the doors for everyone when we all go to lunch is kinda funny, but I don't mind, and manually rolling down the windows is funny too, but again it's not a huge deal. If you're that worried about it, get a GSR. I don't even notice it anymore when I'm by myself in the car.
