Introduction Redemption
Hey guys, my name is William. Finally bought the car I always knew I wanted lol. It's an 05 Evolution 8 GSR. Has a few mods, I wanted one with out any but yeah right. On the plus side, from what I can tell, the mods are not crap parts. If anyone cares to read my list of modifications and tell me their opinions, that'd be cool. I'm used to my turbo 420a that I built from the ground up so I'm still a little new to Evos. My mods are as follows:
-3'' down pipe
-3'' cat delete pipe
-sound performance boost activated exhaust cutout
-quartermaster clutch and flywheel
-perrin intake system
-fabbed 02 housing
-synapse diverter valve
-arp head studs
-buschur upper i/c pipe
-ported exhaust manifold
-walbro pump
-injectors
-spoolin up coils
-intercooler
That's all I've discovered so far. To be continued...

+1 on the Perrin intake, it doesn't get much better than that. I ran a synapse bov and did not like it. It was like an on/ off switch and could not hold mid boost without rapidly dropping and rebuilding pressure. Others seem to have no trouble with it though and synapse customer service is A+. You have their diverter valve which works even better. The boost activated exhaust cut out might be the only thing I would think of selling only because you already have a test pipe in your exhaust system. There are more gains to be had with the cutout, but to me it's a little excessive. Overall nice buy!

As far as the cutout, in other words...keep it? I mean it came with the car. Lol
I wish I could find a little more info on them as far as gains and all. I mean I know how it works...just wondering if it's worth it to keep in case I decide to change some stuff around...
I need to research my options as far as catbacks as well. I really love how quiet the car is(I have a GT that makes plenty of noise) and so I'd like to TRY to maintain that level of sound if at all possible. I'm sure there must be a kit out there that isn't TOO noisy.
