Sakura Performance Parts!
Greetings Evo X'ers
We are excited to announce Sakura Performance Engineering, the in-house fabrication arm of Kaizen Tuning. Sakura parts are manufactured and designed in house at Kaizen Tuning, with dyno testing, and durability testing done right here under our own roof.
Sakura offers a full lineup for the Evo X that we have tested, dyno proven, and are really happy to offer to the Evo X community. These are our own, home grown units, designed with our experience with the Evo X, after seeing countless units on the dyno.

Sakura 3" and 3.5" Evo X Intake system - The most advanced intake you can buy for the Evo X. Key features are a built in heat shield, a velocity stack, and each unit is ceramic heat coated. These are built right here in house at Kaizen Tuning. Made out of full aluminum, these won't rust like the stainless steel intakes out there! In addition all of our intakes come bunged for no additional fee :shades:
The 3.5" unit is designed for larger stock frame turbos that need more MAF. These are designed for FP, CBRD, MAP, and Garrett bolt on turbo systems. Both intakes come with a Vibrant open element air filter that can be washed and reused for extended longevity.

Sakura Upper and lower intercooler pipes - a kit that can be bought individually, or as a packaged with a Synapse DV. Our units are all hard piping, and the UICP made as one piece to eliminate any chance of additional boost leaks from traditional two piece UICP's. Constructed from aluminum these pipes come standard ceramic coated black. Other colors are available at the customer's request for an additional rate.

Sakura 3.5" FMIC - Learning what we could after installing countless FMIC kits, we have found the 3.5" unit is optimal. Our units is 100% built here in the USA, using welded end tanks specific to the Evo X. In addition, these units are ceramic coated - so they will hold up great under harsh conditions that we see up here in the North East.

Sakura 3" Exhaust System - The Sakura catback system is designed to sound amazing, have excellent flow, and ease of installation with a V-band coupler at the rear section. These units are full stainless steel, and welded with stainless as well so it will not corrode quickly. This unit has been tested up on our dyno and purrs like a kitten under idle, but opens up under throttle.
Sakura Exhaust Manifold - These units are designed and built in house with CNC machined stainless flanges, thick tube stainless runners, and come to you fully ported and ceramic coated. A great addition for when you upgrade your stock turbo, for more top end power.

PM us here at Kaizen Tuning for further information.

Detailed writeup from NEEVO's VP Sheff!
I wanted to take some and share one of my many experiences at Kaizen Tuning. This little story starts back when I traded my first Evo X in June of 2012 for shiny new 2012 X. I had been in talks with Kaizen about using my bone stock Evo as a development car for a new parts company they were going to start. After meeting with their Master Fabricator and getting a feel for his work I was sold knowing my car would be in great hand. Anyone can say they can do what you want, it takes a truly skilled individual to actually bring those words to reality.
The winter fastly approached and I dropped the Evo off at Kaizen. In the coming weeks my phone exploded with pics and updates of all the progress. It was like christmas all over again haha! Each part that was produced looked amazing in quality, design, & fitment with top notch welding. Coming from an engineering background I tend to focus / obsess over those things so you could say I’m not easily impressed. All Sakura parts were designed and tested 1 at a time from a stock car to prove their effectiveness. The intake alone made 30 awhp with no tune on Kaizen’s Dyno Dynamics. I don’t have all the numbers but in the end with Sakura Lower/Upper Intercooler pipes, FMIC, Intake, Cat Back Exhaust, catch can, Exhaust manifold, and few other pieces the car made 100+ awhp/awtq over stock. Not too shabby for just bolt ons
I’m not one for stickers all over my car, infact I’ve had a 1 sticker rule ever since I’ve had a car haha. However being as this would be a development / promotional car I agreed to have Sakura vinyls put on my car. Knowing how **** I am about my car and not wanting to grab attention from the police they worked with me very closely to make sure I was happy with the outcome. All designs were talked out and drawn up long before vinyl was cut. This may seem like small an meh but to me it was huge and for that it was huge to Kaizen. In the end I couldn’t be happier with the design and 100% happy to rock Sakura’s name on my car. As for the unwanted attention, due to the professional / not in your face design my car been able to go by multiple cops without a single double take. DAILY *_*
There were some hang ups along the way which delayed the completion date but this was taken into account prior to starting. I recently had back surgery so while that was going on I left the car in Kaizen’s hands. Knowing that there is no way to say how long exactly it would take we planned together to make sure Kaizen had plenty of time to work, unrushed. Throughout the whole process I was informed of all milestones along with any delays. Not on the day I thought it would be ready, or day I wanted it ready, but in real time with honest accurate assessments. Knowing they were doing everything to get me my car back and being a reasonable person I was completely cool with waiting longer. I’d much rather wait to have things done right then rushed together, as does Kaizen.
As pick up day closed in I thought I’d explode with all the excitement lol! The car looked amazing and was properly cared for. I unfortunately wasn’t able clean before dropping off which wasn’t an issue as Kaizen had it cleaned before and after their work. That ride home I must have drove past my place a dozen times before finally pulling in lolol. Smooth reliable power throughout the whole powerband, zero issues.
If you’re in the market for parts or services from Kaizen I cannot recommend enough. Top notch shop with a amazing team. You won't be disappointed, and on the off chance you are they will do whatever they can to make it right. Within reason, there is always going to be “that guy” that no matter what you do will not be happy and go online trashing a company. If you see this about Kaizen / Sakura I ask that you press for more info from multiple sources before making a judgement. Sadly no matter how good a shop is it only takes a few people to spread rumors / trash talk. In the end it only does you the customer a disservice so don't be fooled!
