The 58 trim. A tuner's perspective
I'm making 20psi on the 58mm very early in the 4000RPM range, with enough power on spoolup that there's never a laggy feeling even when coming up from super low RPMs around tight corners in town. I have a completely stock head, intake manifold and TB with the original GSC 272s on an VIII. Mid range and top end feel more like the T4 35R (made 599whp @ 30psi with that setup) I had previously and power is strong all the way to my 7800RPM redline. The powerband feels like what should have come on the EVO from the factory as it is very well suited to a street car revving to ~8k RPM. The only thing that could make this setup any better would be more boost, but I've got my EVO over at English Racing as we speak for an E85 tune @ 30psi. I'll report back again with some video once that's finished

I completely agree with Tom. This turbo is very fun. I still haven't noticed any lag. I'll be curious to see what kind of power Tom's car makes at 30psi. I'm boost around 27-28 psi on E70. The car pulls very hard to say the least, and I know there is room for improvement.
