ETS intake with Stock airbox?
I have the ets intake with upper ic pipe for the stock battery. Im wondering if its at all possible to make it fit to the stock airbox. Anyone ever try this? It seems almost possible, and if any intake/uicp setup would work, i think ets would be closest since the uicp goes up and over the airbox. I would try it for myself but my car has been in the shop for weeks. So im just wondering if anyone has tried this. Im trying to quiet the car down a bit.
It has been done before... It was not with the ets intake on the car that i saw it, but get out your stock air box and take a look. You just need to cut out a hole on the side of it to get the filter through. The ETS intake looks to be a small enough filter to fit inside of it... Give it a try! I'd love to see it done...
We've seen it attempted but no confirmed pictures of the modifications required if it has been successful. If you do give it a shot keep us posted on the result! Both versions of our UICPs are designed for fitment with as many aftermarket intakes as possible with that coming at the cost of fitment with the stock airbox assuming no modification.
