Does the 05 GSR get the lightweight aluminum door beams or is it exclusive to the MR. Also is the Graphite Grey color exclusive to the MR as well?

both of those things are exclusive to the MR. =p you guys are making it difficult for me to enjoy this moment of mine... haha. it's all good, in two weeks time i'l be driving my "affordable" dream car so little can spoil my mood TOO much... thanks for all the advice, i just talked to my salesguy and he sounded like i just ruined his day or something.

 

do you really really really want an 05? if not i mean you can get the HID's on the 04 and get a WAYYY better price and still have 0 miles on the car..like i said there are plenty of 04's still for sale new at the dealers..I dont' wanna see you get ripped off..but if you really wanted an 05 I dont want to criticize you i just wanna be as helpful as possible..good luck

 

actually, it's not the fact taht it's an '05.. it's that it's white. i can't find ANY '04 or '03 WW evo's in this area. I'd even settle for silver, but the only one i found had the SSL and the other accessories like gauges, shift knob, pedals, e-brake lever.. etc. etc.

 

how far south are you in jersey? look on autotrader.com and stuff to see if any dealers have listed their leftover 04's..or just go to the mitsu website and look for dealers in NY or right on the CT border if you're close enough..u can do most of the research online..and if u can save a couple grand..the hour drive or however long it is might be worth it..good luck tho..silver is so nice..i think all the colors are amazing..but silver has some sort of touch with all the chrome emblems and black trim..

thanks! it's actually my first time dealing with a car salesman, so i wasn't sure of anything... haha. It's just that after the guy offered a bit off of MSRP after hearing so many horror stories on here about paying above sticker that I was pretty relieved. as far as looking for an '04 or '03 model, I've pretty much exhausted my options. The main problem is that I'm looking for one without the SSL or any of the accessories, and the white/silver ones that are still in stock all seem to have those accessories. I want to buy a template, not a half-assed work of art

 

stick w/ the 05' acd and front lsd is not something easily done on an 04'. the money you save won't make a 04' as good as an 05'.

 

Again, not to too burst your bubble or anything but THERE IS a little car out in Nurburgring doing testing called the EVO IX that'll probably be here in a year or so

Keep in mind that new EVOs are released every two years or so.

Hell, might as well wait 2 years more than that and wait for the XI or XII? Or maybe I'll just keep saving for the skyline?

MR is nothing special. If I were you , I would run with what you have. The adjustable beam are nothing special either. I played with them when the car was new, but I hardly ever touch them anymore.

You made the proper choice. Of model, and color! You will enjoy your pimp ride!

 

In the year 2040 the EVO will have flying capabilities and run on banana peels. I suggest you wait for that one.
