Evo ownership takes the kind of courage that makes an rpg over your head easy.

dizzigitaldude: this is america, we can sell stuff for whatever we find right. I think North Korea still likes controling all their prices... Maybe they have some gov jobs there, ever consider it?
you're right, you can. all i'm sayin' is you should maximize on every opportunity you're actually able to slow down and see.

Quote: the reason i brought up the highlines is because I've taken a number of C43's, SL55's, SLK 500's, X5's, and other high line vehicles in on trade for an EVO. there must be reason behind this.
I don't doubt you on that point at all. I woulg guess that those trades are not an everyday occurance though right? Mostly what I have seen driving by the Mitsu lots are older or lesser sports cars. Most of those people probably read lots of car magazines where the EVO has gotten rave reviews for it's performance aspects. I wonder how many of the people that traded in their Luxury cars for EVO's Kept thier EVO for more than 3 or 4 months? Judging by the number of used EVO's out there below $24,000 I doubt many did. I bet 80% or more of them end up getting rid of the car after listening to their girlfriends or wives *****ing about it.
Like I was saying before, once the initial buzz wears off it takes a pretty hardcore enthusiast to appreciate the real performance level of the car.

Just bought my evo, will take delivery next week, he took off 594 dollars to make it even 35000, so i guess it is possible to get it under msrp. really nice people, they just got the car in yesterday too, Salerno duane MITSU in Summit, NJ

With all those Evo owners bellyaching about their warranty more than any 3KGT VR4 and DSM owners COMBINED, I can't see the Evo surviving its tenure beyond 2.5 more years.

Quote: Unfortunately an 05 EVO MR with a sticker of $35k is project to be worth $14k in three years according to any leasing company. That's why no one leases them. Mitsubishis have no resale value
That is only a ploy by leasing companies To jack up a lease. They took a real beating after 9/11 cause of all the rebates which drove values down. A regular evo or rs evo might drop kinda low but I doubt an mr. Besides an mr will probably be few peoples choice as a daily driver. But to be truthful, I probably would lease a high end (bmw Mercedes) car, cause they wont do any rebates in the future. The object of a lease is after lease is done, the balance owed is the approximate value of car. Companies take the projected value and make it a little lower, so they can sell the car for profit., besides, how many people on this site actually leased their evo?

Don't forget that you automatically qualify for the loyalty rebate under that program

BTW, when does Pacific take over your dealership?

I need to ask, why is it wrong to want a good deal? We all want the EVO to hold it's value. According to some surveys, it will hold it better than most vehicles. The resale market on this car will depend on much more than the price that the car is sold - I think some of us are even wondering what level of service we can rely on from a company that is having dire financial difficulties - not due to people buying the car for a good price. The dealership is still going to take its hold back money, and the manufacturer is not going to lose money selling the car. Sales people will get there cut too. (You can count on that.) Let's not forget about how much money they make on the trade-ins...Raise your hand if you think MSRP is a fair?
