Talking 05 Mr Power

I dynoed my MR today and it was 256 hp and 292 tq. this was with 1500 miles on the car. I installed a boost controller, safc, and an open air filter intake and got 310.9 hp and 331.6 tq(tuned).

Nice numbers!!! What octane gas were you using? I was at meet last weekend in Cali and a member dynoed his MR and got something like 215-219 hp and like 235-238 tq. That was on 91 octane pisswater. So your first run was totally stock?

Are you sure you didn't install a turbo-back exhaust by accident?

Those numbers were probably so low because the dyno was done on a low reading dyno. I see you live in the SF area, which is Vishnu territory and their dyno reads low.

No it was not at Vishnu. It was at Gruppe S, they have a Mustang Dyno... I think. I know it is a different dyno than Vishnu has. I don't know which one reads higher/lower.

It should be interesting, the guy was going to dyno it at Vishnu to get the differences, I am not sure if he has gone as of yet.

Those are moon torque numbers for near stock... Must be a 2WD Dynojet on like 116 octane.

that was my car that dynoed at gruppe-s. it was a mustang dyno, they tell me this dyno read about the same as vishnu's. in another post, someone dynoed at vishnu and then at gruppe-s, and actually made a little less at gruppe-s.

dynojet numbers are known to read high, and the numbers can also be inflated depending on the correction factor.

i suspect that the 05' makes about the same peak hp as previous years, it just has stronger midrange. magazine test show that there really isn't much difference in 1/4 mile times.

im positive that the stock exhaust was still on the car, as for the amount of boost it was spiking 21 then falling back to 19. I was running 93 octane which is just high test here....i will try to get the graph up today. Next week i am putting my invidia turbo back exhaust on!!!!! I must have gat a strong one!!!!
