MITSUBISHI REVIVAL PLANS (real) evo X
As someone else pointed out - it was the same lame a$$ complaints about the triangle in the nose, yada, yada, etc. before the VIII got here.
Now - everybody's got em and loving it.
Half the whinies will be driving Evo X one day, and the other half will be wishing they had a 330 hp, 4.2 sec 0-60, ACD, AYC, VVT, super car to mod and kill the new Z06 ... So can we just skip the whining once again please and wait 2 years to see what the finished product looks like?!

Okay, did anyone read all those slides? I sorta did. I think I missed the one where they said they'd stop voiding warranties and stop pissing their customer off...did I miss it or is that not part of their little fantasy island plan of how to recoup all their lost customers?
it needs some major work to the nose, from the bottom of the headlights down... and... something about that wing being off the rear glass that looks ugly... but, i'm sure it's the match their downforce testing with the rally car... just keep the current wing setup dammit, and throw the vortex generator there, and we'll be happy...
Mitsu needs a reality check. They can't hope to compete against the masters of bland - Ford and GM, Mitsu doesn't have the volume so it doesn't have the pricing.
Mitsu needs to find a niche in the market place where a mid-size manufacturer can earn a living - and that is _not_ taking on Pontiac. Take a leaf out of BMW's book - they survived the 70s and 80s building sedans that instead of competing head on with Ford and GM, they focussed on creating drvers cars, bereft of gadgets they delivered performance instead. Lower sales sure, but BMW didn't have the capacity back then anyway.
Mitsu needs something to differentiate themsleves from the rest of the marketplace, and they don't have it. Mitsu will never buikd a better Focus than Ford, and they'll never build a better Cavalier than Chevy - and the markeplace has already confirmed they can't build a better Grand Prix than Pontiac.
To paraphrase - Wake up and THINK Mitsu !
The Evo isn't enough - it's a start (again), but it's not enough. At this rate Mitsu will become DC's new Plymouth.

They're not good cars, they're cheap cars, built cheap and sold really cheap.
As an aside, anybody notice that Ford can't produce enough of the "AWD" 500s/derivatives ? THe orders for the AWD versions are around 25%, versus the anticipated 15%. Amazing what can be achieved exercising a little "artistic licence" in the sales blurb.
