^^LOL

Anyway, I will be lookin at one when they come out if they have all the features on the JDM model. I want the same front and rear bumpers and 6 speed and all that good stuff. If not, then I dunno. My parents are helpin me out with buyin a car in about a year because of the money I saved them on college, so I figure I can get a pretty decent car after adding my own money. I'll be looking at the Evo IX, G35, IS300, S2K, and the Mazdaspeed RX-8 if its out by then...

I'm gonna buy one no matter what the specs are. I'm pretty sure it will have more hp/tq, well at least tq. I love the rear diffuser.. the front isn't too bad, but ateast it doesn't have that triangle in it. So needless to say, I will own a IX. I sold my 2001 Tacoma and 2002 400EX and i'm driving a beat up 87 ford ranger, Wifes bmw when she lets me.

I can't wait to post up pics when I get it. BTW, thinking of going either Silver or White. Can't really decide yet.

The IX is gonna rock, everyone knows this to be true.

Well, my EVO still has yet to be ordered. I'm in Iraq and will be using my savings from the war zone to put 20 or so grand down on my car. Now my question is, how much is the IX going to cost? If it is too much more I'm just going to stick to ordering a 05 MR. What do you guys thing?

I might actually step up to the IX. Mostly because I'll have had my current '03 for 3 years, and that's always a pretty good time to trade in.

I'll be cross-shopping of course if I do.

Ghost 2-2,

We don't know which of the JDM IX variants will be available in the US yet (RS, GT, GSR).

If they release all three, then prices should be similar to today's models....can't remember exactly off the top of my head (take a look at Mitsu's site) but RS is something like $28.5k, standard VIII ("GSR") around $30.5k, MR around $36k (these are MSRP prices). I doubt you'll be able to haggle much on the price of the IX when it first comes out, so you'll probably be paying close to MSRP.

I'm not sure whether you can still order a new '05 MR; you may have to search the dealer inventories to see who's still got one in stock.

Stay safe.

I just bought my 04 BBY Evo VIII -- I'm loving it. Just wish it had a LSD upfront...but besides that this car is great!!!! I don't see myself buying a new car for atleast a few years. All in all though that IX is looking sweet!!!!

I'm kinda stuck in the same situation on whether wait for the IX or just get an 05 MR. As of now though, I'm leaning towards the 05 MR. Not really a big fan of the IX's front end.

Well the IX is only going to be out in the us for like a year to a year and a half so they will be about as rare as a mr but im biased im for sure getting a IX they are the nicest looking evo to date imo.
