Official, What have dealers/Mitsu of America told you about the evo ix

Lets get a post going and collect information about what we have heard from various dealers and or MMA.

Ive called various dealers and ive heard anywhere from the car will be released in Oct of this year to it wont be out till late 06.

Ive called MMA and they have told me that the car MIGHT be available end of this year, but they obviously have no official wording.

A few dealers are taking 1k deposits to guarentee and MSRP buy, but the problem with that is that they dont even know the MSRP.

What have you guys been told?

Remember keep this to dealers/MMA only. Not just word of mouth.

I live in the great state of Washington. I am gonna buy my IX from a dealer in Oregon. I have already put some money down. I will be getting a White or Silver IX and they assure me they will be out sometime later summer, possibly a bit earlier.

I'm taking deposits on the IX's, just like we did on almost every release of the VIII.

I sold more MR's that way, than anyone else in the region.

Nope, but we know Fall-ish and we write contracts like that "AS PER MSRP WINDOW STICKER" as the price.

We've sold a TON like that. Works well.

i wanna give a deposit but im just worried it might have some outrageous MSRP, but then again that doesnt really make sense.

One dealer told me just to wait till summer then give a deposit lol

We've set caps on MSRP's too, "Not to exceed xx,xxx". You can do that as well.

My dealer here in Pittsburgh knows nothing about the IX. The only information they have is what I bring to them.

Note: Production was temporarily halted on the EVO IX due to a problem found in the first batch. Production has resumed as only the first 200 were affected but it has put a 3 week delay on the production.

Hmm what else, I think dealers that say Summer ought to be shot as even if you are importing one direct from Japan you will be lucky to have it on the road by May let alone buying from a US dealer (unless they are about to do so some skull duggery with the EVO VIII.5 (MR).)

Edited to add:

Sorry, forgot to mention that it was a gearbox problem on the six speed box (GSR)

I am a dealer, and I do that for customers.

It all depends on the customer.
