Heh, I don't think we have any members of the press here so it's not going to be easy getting pictures until the 25th when it opens to the public.

 

good call. i saw the opening on 23rd but didnt read the part about open only to the press.

No specific mention of the IX having S-AYC in the (prematurely issued) media release on Mitsu's website. I'm sure they would have made a big song-and-dance of it if was standard equipment? However, they did say that 3 trim levels are going to be available (possibly similar to the JDM RS, GT and GSR?) and only the JDM GSR has S-AYC.....so maybe this is still going to be a big surprise (or yet another let-down)......

 

Were almost ready to see the official pics and info. I'm surprised about the Evo 9's lack of attention. Perhaps Mitsubishi made the right decision for a model change next year

 

man I hope that the MR comes in the grey color!!

it looks like the only major "shocker" is that we don't get the cool rear bumper

 

I was at the show on friday. The Mitsubishi display was great. The Evo IX was on the display stand next to an EVo VIII MR and a standard Evo VIII. Then a Ralliart Lancer followed by the other model lines. There was a Raider truck on display and the 2006 Eclipse. Lastly the Ralliart Galant Concept car was there and so was the Endeavor version. Actually the 2006 Eclipse and the Galant Ralliart were both really impressive. I have pictures posted on my cardomain site. The link is below.

The new Recaros in the IX were great! The all mesh front end with the diamond star mounted on it was cool looking as well. The new tail lights are a welcomed change. The car there was an MR so it had the BBS wheels I did NOT see the new Enkeis.
