They also have stricter emissions tests and technical examinations so yes, I'm pretty much sure their standards are higher all around.

Thanks Sterling, appreciate it.
Now on to the Critique... I really like it, but I guess i can also live without it. I seriously don't think its a make or break for getting the car. It does look like it would be serious work trying to retro-fit that thing on the USDM if you were able to purchase an aftermarket, especially how it rolls under. I would think with all metal and the styrofoam they cram in bumpers over here you'd have some work on your hands. My $.02

I lived in Germany for 2 years. I was able to ship my evo IV there with no problems. Had it inspected ,granted it was on base so it was easier than it was for germans, but had no problems they never even checked emissions. I heard off base was suppose to be more strict but I doubt emmissons was that much harder seen how they didn't even check it on base. as for the saftey my evo IV was completely j-spec and the fact you can ship any j-spec or american car there would make it seem that saftey is not as strict. It just has to pass the inital inspection where they do a basic saftey check. England was suppose to be hard they have a emission inspection similar to carb. primarily with the states it all about everthing having dot and epa numbers that is why I couldn't ship my IV here.
