Bumper Holes

This guy says that the holes in the Evo IX's front bumper [the ones that looks like the gialla holes] are there for fog lights. He also showed me an article in motor trend saying that they were for foglights. This isn't true correct? They're there as cooling ducts and what not right?

Dr. Evo said they were to help direct outside air to intercooler pipes.

well partially right, one is there to help direct outside air to the intercooler pipes and the other one is there purely for cosmetics

I was under the impression they were for brake cooling. I guess we'll find out when we get the car.

yes the holes are for addl cooling purposes. evo foglights are built into the headlight housings. they are the most inner lights on the car.

ONE if them is actually used, the other is purelt cosmetic. The open one DOES feed air into the IC pipe

Umm... how does that make any sense. You don't ever feed air into the IC pipes.. the IC pipes contain compressed air - one side pre-IC, the other side post-IC. You can't expose the IC pipes to open air.
