NEW EVO big photos Automobile mag

Automoblie photos
All aluminum body, enough to make me wait. Autoweek says not till 09 model year other sources say next year. Audi style DSG transmission says one source , another says manumatic chain drive conical pully system CVT simulating gears. Lots of conflicting news

I would bet a $1 the all aluminum body does not make production, nor will that interior or LED taillights. At least they dont add up to components on a sub $40,000 production car anyways.

IMO the look is too soft without harder lines...but then I guess that is a bit dated I suppose. Different strokes for different folks but IX MR here I come.

I just dont want a larger, heavier, softer lined vehicle which at least in print looks to be the case.

That is one wicked looking piece of machinery. The interior definitely will not make it to production obviously, but I hope the rest of the car does. The front end could be cleaned up just a tad.

I like the front end.

On the other hand the back end looks kind of cheesy. Maybe thicken up the tails a little bit.

I have not read any of the other speculation on the new car, so this may have already been covered, but did anyone catch the "twin clutch transmission". What is that? Did they realize that one stock EVO clutch sucks, so they are adding a second????

Also, this appears to either be an automatic, or have paddle shifters on the steering column. See the silver things inside the steering wheel??

The look will grow on everyone. Many including me hated the look of the Evo VIII when it first came out. Now I just love it.

You can definatly see the Dodge influence on the exterior styling. Ill bet when it finally hits production it will look more like the Charger than that prototype does. Cant say Im a big fan of Chrystler.

That's the first good shot I've seen of the back with the diffuser. That looks mighty aggressive...I'like. Overall though...not sure.
