isn't putting an EVO IX bumper on anything other than an EVO VIII kinda fake? poser's anybody? it's like when the SRT-4 came out people are putting SRT fascia's on their regular Neon's to make it look like an SRT-4. let me guess, you guys are gonna put a big sticker across the back that says EVO IX too aren't you? (jk, though i did see a Neon with an SRT-4 sticker across it's back, pretty stinkin dumb is you ask me)

gimme a break.. its hardly the same thing, If you think any of the VIII owners have all this IX envy then thats just stupid.. bottom line is that its an evo, and they are meant to be modded and changed... plus I wonder how long or if we will see an IX in the 9s, its just a transition car before the X comes out.. which will be a signficiant leap from the ct9a in performance and handling.

I'm starting to entertain keeping my 03 and putting an 06 front clip on it. But holy crap its expensive. Also the more I see the off center intercooler the more its not rubbing me the right way.
I may just end up skipping the 9 and getting the 10.

we are making the front bumper in fiber glass, it will cost around $200.00-$220.00
Direct bolt on replica, and we also making the carbon fiber lip for that front end too.
THe authentic EVO9 will be $620.00 Authentic mitsu

Nobody seems to have mentioned that one reason for doing the upgrade is for the aerodynamic benefits of the new front and rear bumpers. Mitsubishi specifically designed the new bumpers to offer better aerodynamics (more downforce, less lift) than previous generations of the Evo.
Whether or not anyone likes or dislikes the look of it, or whether or not we're all "poseurs" for modifying our cars and using parts from other generations, there will likely be a functional benefit to doing so.
Not to mention we (Forge Motorsport) are creating brake cooling ducts that are much more easily adapted to the the Evo 9 front bumper than the Evo 8 front bumper (not that they won't work on the 8, it will just be more difficult).
