Lets try and organize our thoughts and questions for them, just so we don't have a ton of people asking when and how much. Ask some in depth questions. I asked if the Ecu will be tuner friendly on the X or if mitsu is putting restrictions on it as far as retuning after a mod was put on. Lets get some good questions put in, so we can get some good answers!!!!!
Hmmm....can't think of any OE manufacturer that would design an ECU to be 'tuner friendly'. (I know, I've worked at 3 of them). But hey it's your question...
Anyway, the next Evo ECU will run on a cam-bus system which is a real PITA to tune. You need special hardware and software to read the ECU.
I'd be REALLY surprised if EVO X cracks the 300hp barrier, with having to meet all the new CAFE standards and still run on a 2.0L engine.
Might be awhile before we see any real HP gains from this new powerplant.

My questions for
would be along the lines of what trim levels and transmission options they expect to offer in the US market. We've heard a lot about a clutch-pedal-less sequential shifter...is that going to be standard, or will a 5- or 6-speed be available? Will there be equivalent of RS/Evo IX/MR trim levels?
Seems to me that ad puts more emphasis on having stuff in your car verses drive appeal. IMO the Evo is about driving, not how much junk you can pack into it. A lot of foreign car manufacturers are making this mistake. Take the Honda CRX... little car with a bunch of power. Now the SI is just a more features option.
If I want features I'll get a Caddy... I want to drive!!
