Wheres the option for "Evos are pieces of **** and I would never buy one in the first place"??

The Americans made the DSG in the first place (BORG-WARNER), the Japs are bound to find some way to **** it up and turn it into a weak-*** overpriced piece of ****.

As of right now I would solely go with the MT.

id def. consider it. i think im starting to develop a knee problem between the clutch and having to stand at work for 8-9hrs at a time... but then again, banging through the gears is like therapy. i havent driven a dsg style transmission, so i hope it doesnt lose that feeling

Were all speculating but I doubt the evo will ever lose aftermarket support unless it becomes a complete luxury mobile. If AMS or Bushur can find a way to make it faster, than parts will be made. I think the issue everyone is missing here is how much it is going to cost, even if it retains the ability to be a bad a@@ car... if it ends up being 40xxx pluss who is going to buy it? I love the evo but at 30,000 it was a bargain...at 40 or more I would have started considering other cars.
Just my two cents.

the new 911 turbo auto is faster than the manual and i think most cars that come out will be the same. I like my clutch pedal and i like to manipulate my car the way i like it now how a computer does. Maybe it is faster but i drive automobiles not appliances...

I will go with the faster one. To me, speed is everything and I don't care if I use an automatic to win. The faster car is the better car. Winning is winning. By by to the slower dudes.

auto transes have already proven they're much quicker since most sport cars use them, from F1, WRC and even the top fuel cars. The old design gotta go! and let's not forget about grinding noises clutch chatters and other complaints from people who have issues with the current manual transes

Quote from road & track

" We know the automatic car is faster, but we still don't like it. We continue to perfer the traditional method of making a car go fast and hope the art of driving isn't lost."

F*CK any kind of DSG. I own a DSG car right now, and while it's fine for the street, it would take major beefing up/reprogramming for track use.

Manual Trans >>> DSG >>>>>>>> Slushbox
