what would happen if they called it the Lancer Evolution Zero....then you could buy a Mitsubishi Zero....

The article does say that they achieved "high inherent strength by over engineering the open deck block"

At some point you have to abandon old technology and start developing better manufacturing techniques or risk falling behind. Here is something interesting Toyota is doing for their open deck design. Maybe Mitsu has something like this up their sleeves as well. http://www2.dupont.com/Automotive/en...20050411d.html

I think you all are being way to skeptical of a car no one has gotten their hands on yet. I would consider buying one, it will be cheaper than the new GTR (which if I wasnt married and having a kid I could most likely afford)

lol i just stopped caring about what these peoples complaints are.

or maybe..... they all have some super human ability that allows them to know already if the evo x will be mod friendly or not. If thats not it, what ever you guys are smoking that is manipulating your minds to think you're miss cleo, please give me some, or sell it as the new most potent drug in history.

No active suspension means it's crossed off my list. I'm looking for a heck of a lot more luxury than in my wife's Evo IX. Of course, Mitsubishi shouldn't listen to me, as I'm a luxury car buyer. I'll probably get a used Audi A3 or Acura RL to give you an idea of what I'm looking for in a car.

That said, I think the Evo should be as fast as they can make it and screw luxury, economy, etc.
