car and driver evox vs 08 sti
I just picked up the car and driver and it gave alot of stats on the two cars. Surprisingly, car and driver estimates the evo x to be $32,000 and the sti to be $35,000. Both are estimated to have over 300 horses and torque and 12.5 for the 1/4 mile. If mitsubishi sells the evo x for that much, they better have a big stock because the new evo is going to for sure sell out.

Another one tried to sell me a IX MR with 2000+ miles on it that was beaten to death by an Ex-sales manager.
Another one told me that they couldnt get my alignment to stock specs after installing Swift springs unless I bought camber plates or bolts.
See a trend here. People at Mitsu dealers in CT dont seem to be too bright.
Now for somthing a little on topic, those numbers are exactly what Road&Track listed in their magazine.

didnt like how the new X looked but after reading this mag and seeing the sti i know that alot of future subie enthusiasts will be steering towards the X. which means alot of unexperienced evo owners out there. not bad reviews though, if im not mistaken too i think i remember reading in that article of a manual 5 spd coming out for the X instead of the paddle shifter crap.......................hope so it would be a good DD........

Heck the Dodge Caliber and Jeep Compass weigh more, like 3,800 lbs. and are based on the same architecture, so Mitsu did try to make it light.

I'm still putting my money on 3400 to 3500 Lbs. I know some are thinking higher side impact and crash standards contribute to the weight gain, but last time I checked other manufactuers have to follow the same rules and find a way to keep the weight down.
