Idk if its just me but yesterday i went to the mitsu dealer on US1 in Miami... well i went in to check out the lancer cuz everyone says that its like lookin at the precurcer of the EVO X... well i looked at the car and it seemed a bit super tall! idk if anyone saw or notices that... Any opinions? Idk but i think thess new evos might be the tallest member of the family!!!

The Evo X is 3.8 inches taller than the previous model. I don't know about the lancer but it's probably even taller due to higher ground clearance.

Yeah they do sit higher I just lowerd mine on a set of G.R.I.P. springs from RRM and dropped it 1.5 front and 1.0 in the rear and it looks alot better. But sitting higher for a WRC isnt a bad thing.

And check this out
OMG sick HUH

While higher clearance may not look as attractive to some, Lancer Evo, first and foremost is a rally breed car and higher clearance is more than welcomed for WRC due to the condition of roads, higher the clearance, the less of a chance of a suspension/axel/exhaust etc etc damage, actually the same is true for the roads in NJ lol I don't think I would lower a stock Lancer no matter how good it looks, I would rather take function over form.

The new Lancer is a bit taller than the previous gen but it's also wider and shorter in length which it all adds up to better road holding stance.

Take a look at rally cars, they all sit high off the gorund for a reason, rally roads are not nicely paved smooth roads, they are uneven, with bumps all over, the springs you have may be good for general street racing but I doubt they are rally proven. I am more then sure RRM did an extensive rally spring test for the new Lancer

Definitely not a fan of the new look here. Just doesn't do it for me. Reminds me of a combination of a charger and a lancer lol.

But I wouldn't mind a lift on my evo...and as stated ... the roads of nj are hell. I just hit the poor front end yesterday and was out with touch up paint today

My sister just bought an WW 08 GTS. It's a nice car, has many features but damn is it underpowered! If you want a faster Lancer that's not an Evo most people will probably go for the Lancer GSX which should realease soon after the X comes out.

ugh the x is higher??? I already hate the high roofline of the current evos. Only disgusting part that ruins the car in certain angles!
