I understand what you meant, I just disagree. You would have heard a LOT of interior rattles in that video if they were hard metal mounts.

Anyone think maybe that's just the 08 lancer GTS engine stuffed in there with the CVT and paddle shifters? Since the motor's not ready (especially not at the time the prototype x was introduced, considering this is the same car from the auto shows), there's no reason to have anything significant in the prototype X, just something to get the car moving when necessary.

I'd like to see someone post similar videos of their 08 lancer, i doubt there's any difference.

Yeah except there have been pictures posted by the members that have snapped some shots of the turbo setup on the Prototype X when it was unvailed. Just doesn't make sense that mitsu would turbo the stock 08 lancer engine just for the prototype. It has to be the evo engine, just not all tuned perfectly and stuff. Also i'm pretty sure that mitsu would have had a running evo engine when prototype came out since the evo X has been in the works for atleast 1-2 yrs before the prototype was released.

i love the Evo X just by seeing that. they shouldve let someone else rev that monster. the person revving it was not doing a very good job.

Was it just me or did i miss the BOV sound? I know its stock and all but my stock IX at least makes a little noise from the BOV. Ohh and that video was from after MOD, wish I would have stayed a little longer till they did that.

I really hate the look of the engine bay. Engine covers are so lame.

I think the redline is higher, probably around 7000. From the look of the dial, it looked like the speedo could go further around. The 6 was the last number on there in a visable white. I bet the 7, 8, 9 is colored red to signify the redline and past.

If you look closer, there aren't any ticks between the numbers. That definately wouldn't fly in a production car. That's certainly not the final interior for the Evo X. I'm sure the Evo X dash/interior will be nearly identical to the Lancer GTS.
