Awesome. So this is probably why the X is being revealed at the Tokyo auto show and not at Frankfurt? That, along with the GTR being released at Frankfurt.

I thought this is what will be released as the evo x sportback version. I bet it will be a model option like the cX-Evolution or something. I really hope this is where rally car development goes. It would be awesome to see some rally car/dakar rally hybrid performance car.

Crap.. Look at the back end of that.. It doesnt' have the smooth arc of the sportback. Instead, it looks like the tail of the new Impreza. I hope that's not accurate. I was looking forward to the Sportback, but if it looks like the Impreza I'll hurl.

Its not the Sport Back. The Production Sport Back is being shown for the UK market. This is another B-segment cross over.

From my understanding, Sportsback Concept (shown in 2005 at Frankfurt Auto Show which is supposed to be a prelude for Lancer hatchback) and this Concept cX are two different cars (actually Concept xC reminds me of Mitsu Concept CT, just a bit enlarged with 4 doors). Concept cX is supposed to slot below Outlander, I think Concept cX will eventually become something of Dodge Caliber nature, not a regular 4 door sedan, not a traditional SUV, not a mini mini-van like Mazda 5, basically like a family activity vehicles I guess lol, all in all it looks like a new breed of cars. Whatever will become of this concept, question is, will we get it here in USA (and will we get Lancer Sportsback like Europe is supposed to get?). Being this, as what Mitsu calls it, a global platform, chances are that we might actually see some form of it here in US.

Should be two seperate vehicles Lancer hatch and cX for Compact Crossover. Would slot in below the Outlander. Perhaps replacing the Endeavor?

I don't think that Concept xC is supposed to replace Endeavor, Endeavor is more of a mid- to full size SUV (definately larger than the new Outlander), Concept xC looks like a mini-SUV, I think it's a whole new segment for Mitsubishi. And talking about Endeavor, does anyone has any info/rumors about future of platform USA (Galant, Eclipse, Endeavor)??? I heard that the next generation Galant is supposed to be on a new global platform (will the new platform be some kind of derivative of the new Lancer platform?) and what will happen to next generation Eclipse/Endeavor since they currently share the same platform as the current Galant.
