new HP/torque info on X
i hope those numbers are true. the sst would come in at 3388 lbs, not bad considering the mythical 3500 being thrown around. the gsr 5 spd would be 3344 and the RS 3124.
for reference the IX RS is 3219, IX is 3263 (3338 with moonroof), and the MR is 3285 for those of you too lazy to look it up. also the moonroof weighs 75 lbs from those numbers so a X with moonroof would be about 3463. kinda porky but still not too bad.
last thing of note to shut those X haters up is that the X RS would weigh LESS than the IX RS so if you really want performance the X wins in every category on paper. i think the X RS is gonna be super spartan. how else can you shed 220 lbs? no ac, no radio, etc. why would anyone buy that for a street car?
also the quoted 422 Nm is nothing new. it comes out to 311 ft-lbs exactly what was shown in the leaked video. but then again they also quote 280 ps which we all know is a corporate BS number.
imo the GSR SST is the way to go. all u people that complain about this car or that car being heavy and saving this many pounds etc. are crazy, stupid, or just plain hardcore. 99.9% of us will never use the weight savings. i'd rather be heavy and have AC, sat nav, 650 watt stereo, moonroof, etc than being a "hardcore racer"...

206kw = 276HP
n.m = approx 311ft-lb torque
Actually sounds more like the leaked numbers from the leaked video posted here awhile ago, especially with the 276 number being similar to the gentleman's agreement limit in Japan makes me think that whoever posted those numbers are maybe 70% accurate at best (at least in comparison to what other markets such as the US will get)
Interested tho in the gear ratios if one was to guestimate that the X was to say be given 310, or 320hp or somethin. Like if we assume the weight is accurate, what would be calculated 0-60 times after projectin probable HP between 300-330
Also just to make sure my memory's intact... GSR equivilant in the US is the regular "unnamed" trim here correct? (i.e. the "IX" trim between the RS and MR trims).

a few more things of note.
Compression increased to 9.0 from 8.8 in the IX. how much if any will this affect max boost allowed stock?
and do those specs say 18" brakes for the GSR??? can't be right... it's gotta be 15" (380mm) right? either way it's bigger than the IX's 320mm brakes so the X wins again. i feel sorry for those who hate on the X cuz their IX is gonna be outdated and slow by the time the X comes out
and am i seeing this right? 205/60-16 tires for the RS??? WTF??? that's like for a civic no?

As always, I tink we should wait for the official specs.
Points of note:
18" + 17" rotors on an 18" rim on the GSR?
15" rotors on a 16" rim on the RS?
Hell, a 16" rim on the RS?
205s on the RS?
Some things here aren't quite jiving... This really smacks of Speculation. What's the source?
But if these stats are true (with allowance for typos) then it looks like the RS will be only for those that plan to convert it to a track car..
