Evolander
Evolander
Has anybody heard anything about the Evolander? I saw it at an autoshow couple months ago but never seen or heard anything about it since then...Id never consider it but it would be cool to see out on the roads
I saw one in Super Street while they were doing the coverage of the SEMA show, but I have heard nothing since. Misubishi, if your watching, and I know you are, I would like to have one- if not I'll get the Forrester STi that's coming
Wow, so mitsu stole this idea from AMS and is badging it as a ralliart project? Nice. I see they used a supercharged V6 instead of the GT40 2.3L 4G that makes ridiculous power...

Actually, there sre rumors of Mitsubishi releasing Outlander Ralliart in the near future so hopefully we will see the Evolander in some form. Mitsubishi in 2005 did release a Mitsubishi Outlander Turbo with 4G63 inside for the European market so the idea of a performance oriented Outlander is not that far fetched.
Anyway, what saddens me is the departure of Montero from US lineup, that was one of the last remaining true 4x4 off-roaders. 99% of SUVs these days would get stuck in the first 5 inches of mud. And whats even worse is the fact that the 2007 Montero/Pajero is actually a good looking vehicle with an Eclipse engine inside. Now make a Dakar Rally edition of this bad boy and you'll have the best performance off-road vehicle available on the market today. Actually for a brief moment Mitsubishi did offer Pajero Evolution in 1997 but it was made in very limited numbers but that was one hell of a performance 4x4.
Anyway, checkout the new Pajero/Montero which we won't see in US: http://www.motorbox.com/Auto/VisteeP...ro.html?mmc=49

HEY Mitsu......If your watching, I think you should "ralliart" or "Evo" all of your cars......that would be awesome....think about it....Galant Evo w/ a tt V6...., Eclipse Ralliart w/ a 4g63 engine....., and bring Pajero back to the US and make an Evo version w/ a crazy tt or supercharged V8 and super luxurious inside, now that would be a ride!!!! .....Just food for thought.......
