I don't think any manufacturer would use reporters to test cars for last minute tweak.
Well, I wouldn't call them typical reporters. I believe these guys know a little bit about what they're talking about. Who knows?? Hopefully, there is more performance in a keystroke somewhere and they were just holding back. Maybe they're trying to pull a rope-a-dope on Subaru!!

Yes, it would be wonderful if there is more performance before the car is released.
The U.S. is getting it next year. There is more time for Mitsu to do something.

A full body redesign would be nice. 
There may be some final tweaks to it in terms of exterior and power, but nothing monumental. The final numbers, trims, and pricing for the Nissan GT-R were finally released and there weren't any big surprises there... so don't get your hopes up.
