Evo X...

the biggest let-down in the world?

I mean FRICK Mitsu! WTF? Car magz were forecasting 3.9 sec 0-60 times, supposedly leaked youtube videos were showing 330 hp, we all had such high hopes! This is a travesty, a catastrophe, and a blasphemy of an evolution.

Sryly, I expected some things to be "different," heck, we all expected some things to be "different," but freaking making your new car SLOWER in a straight line? Where is the evolution there?

And don't get all righteous on yourselves, we don't ****ing track our cars every day, and we don't time ourselves through slalom courses every night. We drive our cars to commute places. So why should I feel excited proud, or fortunate to putter along in my evolution badged sedan when at any time a hobo driving a ****ty FWD ricer can just pull up and chuckle, knowing full well he could smoke me.

psst.. I get the feeling mitsu might be trying to pull a fast one over Subaru (and vice versa) with all these under rating games. The mags might even be a clever way to get Subaru think the Evo is dead meat, and BAM, along comes Tokyo, with the proper tuning, etc. Of course this is just a conspiracy theory, but I've seen much stranger things happen before. And of course lots of poeple in riced out turbo civics can smoke stock 911 turbos, but they're still driving a honda civic. As the M5ers like to say "wait for the twisties".

The Evo was never meant to be just a straight line monster. It's main purpose from the very beginning is to take on the curves as fast as possible.

I think we should all wait until it comes out, have all the IX and older model owners test drive the EVO X, and tell us the difference.
