Evolution X GSR Premium Edition
The car in the pics has the TC-SST found only on the EVO X MR here stateside.
So either...
a) it is only an option in Japan
b) A variation of it (one or two options, not all)
My money? Mistu doesn't make the BBS or leather recaros or anything else that seperates the gsr and MR (outside of transmission) and justifies the MR premium price available as an option for the cheaper priced GSR.
Mitstu is smart, and to get people to pony up for the MR is not only the transmission, but the leather recaros, BBS wheels etc.
It makes no sense for them to sell them as options to the GSR and in doing so, undercut every reason (outside of great transmission) to buy an MR. A lot of GSR fans would love it, but bottom like is that it just wouldn't make financial sense for Mitsubishi to give consumers reasons to 'steer clear' of their highest price car. They have got to give the MR something unique and upscale (other than transmission) to make it sell.
I would love to see those full leather seats come stateside for the 2009 MR!
(and make them heated! It gets cold up here in Boston!)

Keep in mind which side of the car the steering wheel is on!
Anything you see in pictures means nothing unless MMNA chooses it for the cars that come here.
For cryin' out loud the Lancers (sorry, "Galant Fortis") in Japan has cubby's with nice articulating doors in the center console where we just have an open hole.
Other good examples are the sunroof and heated seats (or should I say "lack thereof" for the U.S.)!
