They are black instead of red on the non-light portions of the enclosure.

why cant they just make an evo that is NEW... weight as much or less than the IX... and a Six Speed Tranny!!

my thoughts exactly what is up with mitsu not putting in a six speed manual tranny i mean the 5 speed is ok but seriously the 6 speed would be alot better, and they should offer the MR with the sst and a 6speed manual.

I believe their reasoning is that the MR is a luxury model (yeah, laugh it up). The common wisdom seems to be that even on Evo VIII and IX, the 6-speed was built for cruising, not for big power and heavy modding. Granted, the new SST is even less capable for modding purposes, but it still holds. I guess the question is: would you be happy with an Evo X MR with a 6-speed manual if it wasn't good for more than low 400ish torque?

As far as weight - most of the extra weight is from the stiffeners (add structural rigidity) and safety features. Yeah, it sucks, but life goes on.

What is up with the 09 models when do they plan to release them 2010?????? Im really pissed because i need a car now and im waiting for the 09 model!!! IM RENTING A FREAKIN HYUNDAI.

I kinda wish all manufacturers would release models of cars meant for the year. It seems rather ridiculous to me that someone can buy an 09 lancer in March of 08... just defeats the purpose of labeling the model of the car after the year

I totally agree with you but i heard the 09 models arent coming out till march 09, and its near the end of december and no news on the 09 models??? Its even more ridiculous to buy an 08 model in 09?? dont u think.

i wonder whats next... the evo x wasnt so much of a success as mitsu hoped, thats y dealers r selling IXs for $29,900 only like 2k short of a new X gsr... just something i've noticed... Your doing alright mitsu ur going to right path...

I know what you mean , im tired of renting why did i sell my 350z before the 09 model came out im really disappointed mitsu hasent offered the 09 models yet!!!
