2010 Ralliart / Evo Cobb Kit
No twin clutch gearbox will act like an automatic, period. It acts exactly like a manual transmission. But to say its 'subpar' because it acts and behaves like a manual is like saying your Evo's tranny is subpar. Test drive either the RA or MR and you'll see it's not a POS tranny. It's actually quite fun to drive, don't miss my M/T at all.
This. I have the SST, and I love it! Its funny the guy who posted the old 08 Road and Track, because this months Road and track mentions the 2010 MR Touring SST is remapped and now running 0-60 in 4.6 seconds!

It is confirmed, as jalopnik.com with an owner provided 2010 Evolution MR Touring also hit 0-60 in the high 4 second range, going 0- 60 in 4.9 seocnds!
As mentioned above, do you own an SST? Ask an owner what they think, or go test drive one; they are flippin' outstanding. There is a reason why an MR is faster aorund a track or road course
TC-SST with sport AND super sport? Legit.
BMW's box, WV DSG and Mitsu's TC-SST are basically the same concept, and I've tried all of these... the programming is the difference and I can argue that the TC-SST has the craziest programming of the three...
I still have to try out a Ferrari, the GT-R and Porsche's new PDK.... but out of the first three mentioned, TC-SST is really better in either Sport or S-Sport (MR);
The TC-SST not only shifts faster than humanly possible in a manual with a clutch pedal, but while in auto and either sport or s-sport mode it holds the revs up high around the powerband and when/if you gun it, the tranny will shift to a higher gear without dropping a pound of boost, that's why I'm able to beat people with car's that otherwise should be faster than my Ralliart, cause while they're shifting they're making a huge amounts of mistakes (shifting too late or too early, dropping pressure, missing a gear, rough shifting that would cause that bucking feeling on a TC-SST driving around rush-hour) mistakes that are already taken care of by the TC-SST programming.... the only way you could do what a TC-SST do say stay in the power band on a gear without rising your speed (mph) is to brake-boost and that's not good for your brakes at all
I think what Mitsubishi has done with the TC-SST is really astonishing, and it deserves A LOT of merits... you see it sucks cause, nobody notices any of these things...

I drove a GT-R for the first time the other day. I don't know if the awesomeness of the car itself made me not wish it had a manual, or it was just that good. My I totally no longer have anything against it now. Up until this point I just figured it to be too hyped and had too many raving mad fanbois behind it to be that good for me to truly like it, but now I could totally see myself owning one and not wishing for a manual. I'm not sure yet if I could say that about an Evo because I haven't even driven a MR (or RA) yet.
no no, not at all... just saying they're based upon the same concept
oh and you should drive an MR... but maybe a flashed MR... I remember when I bought my RA it impressed me a lot cause of the transmission alone, but after a day I was already urging for more power... it wasnt until I flashed and modded a little bit that I could throw it around and really feel the awesome-ness of the TC-SST... a stock MR will do justice as well to the tranny but a flashed one, with a bit more power to the wheels would be just amazing in sport mode
