Got my EVO Magazine in the mail and...

It says:

"Mitsubishi Evo Status: The next-generation Evo is said to be dead, to be replaced by a revised and renamed sports saloon with a clean, torquey and economical turbodiesel engine"

Unfortunately they are usually pretty accurate...

Note: For those of you that do not know, EVO Magazine is not a magazine for our cars, it is a well respected British car magazine.

I highly doubt that now.
There's too many official concepts from reputable sources.
Truth is, yes It's probably going to be a whole new hybrid turbo vehicle, but the name Lancer Evolution is still gonna be the name.

I think we're all familiar with this line...

"According to one source inside Mitsubishi, the Evolution XI, due in 2013, will be the best Evo yet."

They might skip 2012 like they did 2007. I thin they're scared of 2012 =P

why go thru all the trouble of completely reworking engine, drivetrain, chassis and body styling just to call off the evo line alltogether. not sure what to believe here. seems unlikely for mitsu to halt evo production after only one generation of the 'new' evo...but then again the automotive industry (esp import tuner cars) is a tough game...

I'm familiar with it but considering nobody really knows anything about the 2011 Evo X...for them to speculate a few years ahead on a new model/revision that doesn't exist yet holds zero weight.

I suspect Mitsu would rather drop the Eclipse and put that name on a new sprty hybrid than take the Evo out of the lineup. I think they may increase the price and performance of it to move it into a higher bracket. The Evo XI can't stay at this power level and price and be competitive in a few years.

Yup, the evo could very well go the route of the Skyline, go away for about 6 years and come back as a halo car for Mitsubishi, I say 500/500 is good power and handling that'll rip the skin off your face althyough we have that already

If this is true, I'm glad I got one before they went away. It will help keep the value of my car up too
