Keep The Evo Alive, Facebook campaign
The diesel engines can put out some good numbers, as long as you can keep the heads on them. Hope they can keep the engines fairly lite, it is pretty amazing that it will do 0-60 in 5.0 seconds.
I don't know why... but I'm beginning to agree with you on this...
Mitsu needs to start making better cars, make more money, and then surprise us all in 5+ years with the rebirth of a turbocharged/AWD Eclipse and Evo... even if they're named something else... we'll know when we we see them...
Time to let the Evo rest imho :S
Might just grab me a X while they're running out the door faster than I've ever seen... RC Hill in Orlando brings them by the bunch and they run out within weeks...

If they are going to make the new Evo into a hybrid like they have been talking about then let it die and bring it back later when they need a new performance car. The move "upmarket" with the Evo X was a bad move in my opinion. They priced the under 30 yr old demographic out.
NEW THEORY
I was reading a Motor Trend from a couple months back the other night, and found a mentioning of future Evo plans inside. It mentioned that two potential scenarios were considered by Mitsubishi, I think it was last year, one being a hybrid Evo and the other being that the Evo would be reinvented as a new car based off of the Colt. Supposedly, they decided to go with basing a whole new Evo off of the Colt, similar to the WRC AWD version of the Ford Focus. Unfortunately, they did not mention a source, but it's a new theory at least.
