Next Evo...sort of.
I don't know if anyone posted this or not, this has a rendered pic also. The specs
Seem really crazy, and the weight would make it faster than anything they have ever
made before. If they did make some type of colt based Evo, would you guys buy it?
I hope Mitsubishi is looking at this website for some insight to the USDM desire. The
Lancer Evolution is what we want, not some mini colt like scooter! The most sold model
Last year for Mitsubishi was the Evo! I dont think anyone here is going to jump ship
To a small, fast ecobox. Keep the Evo, and your brand loyalty.

The numbers and that car are a joke, but they are looking at making a high performance Colt
Model as a replacement for the Evo, if they stop making them. I hope they don't think that a small compact would satisfy previous Evo owners..whatever they call it.

If there is any future rally interest then there will be a colt/ global small car evolution, as all other manufacturers are doing. IE from the focus to the fiesta, from the golf to the polo. I doubt we would ever see it in the states until gas is $5/ gallon as small cars have a smaller profit margin. But all manufactures still see the need for 2.0L racing engines and a C segment car for circuit racing. So I believe if they actually still care about motor sports you will see more of a rally focus on the colt and track focus on the Lancer. I'd imagine that the lancer evo name would be eliminated and converted into the likes of a GT car (charisma GT anyone).
Motor Trend had a small article about Mitsu's future and they are still pretty sure that when moving forward with the Evo namesake it will just transfer to a smaller segment. I for one would like to have something fiesta-sized with AWD and significant power. MT related it to Foust's rally car.
