You do realize that you don't have to buy it. So whether a new model comes out or never comes out is the same outcome to you.

And the thread was about details on the new model release, not whether you approve :P

Perhaps he missed Le Mans this year.

+ You're arguing with someone that quotes U2 for their location.

Note my gripe is not in hybird/deisel/hydrogen/urine powered vehicles I can't wait to see the automotive future.

My gripe is in the rawness that was once the lancer evolution is no longer. Now add in a very high dollar complex hybrid drivetrain. The initial price point, serviceability, reliability, and modability come into serious question. Then realize that you're buying this car from a struggling auto maker with honestly one of the worst backed cars in the world especially in the evolution model. So yes I hope it never sees a showroom.

Oh and to the asshat with the U2 comment. In the nicest way possible Edited...

So, in a world of predominately2wd drive NA cars you broke the mold by embracing the complexity of AWD turbo EFI in the first gen evo and then aparently stopped there?

Not that it really matters as you have drawn an arbitrary line in the sand that is your steadfast opinion, as dumb as it may be... GL

Really no point of hearing your opinions as it wasn't asked nor it has anything to do with the thread. Please stop trolling.

As far as the Paris Show, I've been watching closely and I am not seeing any updates on Mitsu yet

I can actually see his point here.

There is a difference between a 4 cylinder turbo with an AWD platform with the basis coming from Rally Racing.

Its being replaced with something that has the idea basis that comes from a Prius.

Not to mention while an AWD platform is more complex, and weighs more, it isnt like 2 different powerplants, heavy batteries, and all the complexities that come with in reliability and then adding in performance aspects to that reliability....

Basically instead of raw rally car that performs well on the street, Its going to be a heavy, complex thing, that doesnt evoke any sense of driving spirit or fun.

So until we see weight, price, and performance numbers... its going to be speculation, but something will have to give in those 3...Its either going to be $45+-$60k for that Evo XI, or its going to be pig heavy and/or its going to perform more poorly than any previous Evo.

Bets anyone?

Yes...I have looked at the Porsche 918. Its a cool car...but for an Evo to use all those technologies to be able to perform well, it wont be cheap.

Your logic is flawed. You might as well say the current Evo has an "idea basis" that comes from a Model A Ford....yeah, it doesn't make sense, just like your argument.
