Leave it to Koenigsegg to get the valve system right, not a new idea but a different aproach. Ive seen them with Electronic vavles before much similar to a hydraulic systems Manifold, 12V coils with a up/down valve piston. Problem with electronic is vibration can kill the magnet. a Air system is a much better idea. could you imagine how easy it is to turn that engine over.

 

And then you come to a goal of meeting ever harsher and always more strict Safety regulations.
Just hope for Direct injections and a bit of downsize, thats the only thing that can be done that would be good for both company and its customers.

I agree with the OP. The future certainly belongs to ICE. It may be running on E85 or something similar. Retarded car haters are there, for sure, but the educated few, dedicated few, and enthusiastic few will not accept substitutes.
