"We are here to stay." That's a relief. He mentioned that Nissan has only acquired about 1/3 of the company and that he does not know if the model line up will change as a result, but they will take advantage of the synergy between the companies.

Yes, Nissan took a controlling interest. Not much point in spending 2.3 billion on Mitsubishi stock if you cannot steer the ship. http://www.cnbc.com/2016/10/19/nissa...rs-report.html
Imagine if in 2020, Mitsubishi and Nissan brought back the CT9A and s13 240sx as throwback editions. Each car came with the best appearance package only and exactly how it made back in the day..with 0 miles. A man can always dream.

Yeah, a throwback edition would be so cool. There has got to be an end to all the crazy electronics. I do love what automatic systems my Evo has - but no more. There's a thread on here somewhere where people give the weights of various parts of the car. In other words, how much weight can be saved it that part is removed. There is an entry for the entire wiring harness of the car (how did that happen?) and it was (insert fuzzy memory here) 70 lbs. Imagine the weight of wiring in new cars with all the gizmos.
Nissan Sunny GTR was a beast ( reminder. But there is tons of great Nissan sport cars in the past etc they can build on together), I am hoping they will cook up something similar to the EVo but smaller. And this join adventure has more chance to do it then Mitsubishi alone. Nissan is great on advertising etc, where Mitsubishi lets face it sucks.
I am actually very happy for this.

What do you think a good price for Final Edition X's are? Putting aside that they are mostly a GSR...
Mitsubishi dealers contacted me from an old Truecar inquiry and are quoting me about $33.4k, that's with the $1000 cash back. I already have an 2015 X but wondering what these last X's will go for. I don't really see prices staying form for these as the market has moved on.
