Why Mitsubishi should continue the evolution series!
well, I hope Mitsubishi doesn't miss the bus and discontinue the evo! just when everybody is converting to turbo engines, suddenly it will drop the evo? just ridiculous. the MB and BMW are using 2.0L turbo engines to power their sport sedans(the new 4-series) and they are not interested to continue it? Mitsubishi first developed the direct injection(GDI) engines and suddenly dropped it in its line-up and now everybody uses direct injection as technology.

from a marketing/business standpoint it would be suicide. do they even attend their own owners days?? the lancer aisle is ALWAYS the biggest and most populated aisle at MOD. most lancer evolution drivers are proud of their cars for being sporty, yet not ridiculously expensive like some of the european sports cars out there. mitsubishi as a whole NEEDS a sports car as a flagship. and since people are already comfortable with the Evo branding, they should stick with it. now if it goes in the direction of sports sedan hybrid *shrugs* but they need to keep it or else no one will remember mitsubishi when they go to buy a new car.

insisting on the imiev means they don't have a clue about auto trends. EV value drops like a rock even with govt incentives. Mitsubishi is not even in the hybrid business. keep what they do best, performance, value and reliable vehicles and they will come. dropping the eclipse? what are they thinking?
I live in CO and am kind of in the same boat. I'm looking into a getting a new car and want an EvoX. But everyone I talk to is like, "Subarus are the Colorado Car." ....noooo I still want an evo lol.
I think that if Mitsubishi could find a good CEO to really align, realign, get rid of all the fat of middle management, and actually lead the company... They could turn everything around and blow every company out of the water. Until then, just shut it down.
Remember the days when Chrysler and Mitsu were partners, DSMs, etc? Mitsu left because Chrysler was so bad. Well, now that Fiat came out of now where, reinvented themselves, then took over on fixing Chrysler, and reinvented Chrysler, now Chrysler is doing great relatively to Mitsu.
Mitsu, go hire the guy that fixed Fiat and Chrysler, Marchionne. Pay him double what he's getting now.
