Electric EVO

After watching this video, I can't wait for the new Electric EVO XI to come. I don't think there will be anyone missing the older EVOs.

I am very excited because Mitsubishi are actually the best in the world wehn it come to electric, nuclear....etc technology.

I am very excited about electric car technology. Unfortunately, there's only one car company that is investing in the technology and infrastructure to make it feasible as a usable first car, and that's Tesla.

Elon Musk has done an AMAZING job with building supercharger stations. And while he is right on the money with his business plan of.

Build a very high dollar performance car to break into the market

Build an upscale car to bring early adapters and people with the money for a 3rd or 4th car to the market.
(so far done, and the next phase)

The next phase is a mid level car to grab a biger portion of the market share.

He has already built a network of solar powered Supercharger stations that can make it viable to drive the car up and down the west coast in a reasonable time. The next phase is to build from west to east.

The only real concern I have about his charging network is that now there are relatively few cars on the road, so charging stations are plentiful, what will happen when there are far more on the road?

Unfortunately, the other manufacturers do not have a good enough (most important, FAST enough) charging network for me to consider any EV at the moment

Great points and I was thinking the same thing and to add on top of it what scares me about the entire thing is how the gov. will screw us over and charge x3 or x6 more for electricity. I just can't imagine have an awesome car like the EVO with it's amazing handling, looks , power and only having one gear and never having to worry that it will break down. I will be finally able to enjoy the car.

I am not very worried about power costs, as in the next 5 years, I plan on adding solar to my home in Florida, then wiring it to the grid. The current rules with my power company is that if you generate more power than you consume, they give you a check for the difference. As I spend 95% of the time away from my home, my house will become a source of income.

Add that to the fact that Florida, and the US gov give tax benefits for going solar, it won't be an overcome-able initial layout in cash for the primary investment.

What I love about Tesla's charging stations is that they too are solar powered (and Free!) Therefore there is no cost to use them.

this was just a race car record. the actual land speed electric record is over 300mph. Was done using old NI-Cad RC car "C" sized cells. i want to say that was 10 years ago or something.

Unlimited budget race car vs. buying an Electric Performance car from arguably the worst automotive co. in the market. I can't wait for the first problems to start on the so called "Electric EVO" Should be comical at best.

I wish you luck sir. I'd rather not drive at all to be honest

The amount of money it costs to convert a house into a solar powered house is substantial, in the fact that you will not generate profitable income until nearly a decade later.

Ive done my research here. And with the state and federal rebate programs, along with the tax incentives i would get even if my array only put out half of the advertized output, the system would pay for itself in less than 5 years. Remember, i am in a very unique situation where I am at my house less than 10 days a year right now, so my consumption is extremely low. I am also in sunny florida at a low lattitude with a large southern faced roof.

yeah...im kind of an old-school kind of guy. not looking forward to the electric stuff. prefer the 100+ year proven, tested and true, internal combustion engine. something about having audible satisfaction when you put the pedal to the floor that is just very much satisfying =D

love this electric car technology but I think they need to work on the battery or fuel cell so we can drive longer distance in electric cars before having to recharged.
I wouldn't mind having a Hybrid EVO though with both turbo gas engine and electric motor like in f1
