Well I've was speaking for now remote past(2004), most likely Mitsubishi will be rolling out a large chunk of CVT equipped econoboxes before it comes out with something radical, which means I agree with you.

the small car mitsubishi homologated and just started selling in US is the biggest POS i have sat in. Its loud, engine shakes the car at stop lights and i felt unsafe while driving it. Perhaps they sell better small cars elsewhere

The 5-door 2014 mirage hatchback already exists in the US, my local dealership had a handful out front on their lot. They aren't making it a sedan of any sort. They probably won't make a 3-door, wouldn't make sense. A lancer hatchback, with an evo badge would be pretty damn cool. Give me an option like the STi!

By "hot hatch" I meant something with 2 doors, like a 2 door Golf. I know the Mirage exists. There is a sedan version of the Mirage about to be introduced in other markets and there is a chance they will bring it here:

It wouldn't surprise me. I was shocked when there was a 2013 and 2014. I bought my 2011 because people were saying that that year was going to be the last. Mitsubishi is getting good mileage out of the Evo X, so I suppose it is entirely possible we will see one in 2015.

here's an idea:
if Mitsubishi really wanted to atleast salvage more money out of Evo R&D, why don't they take out the 4b11t and slam it on the Outlander Sport, but here's a catch it doesn't go with TC-SST and it goes with regular auto 6sp gearbox that is in Outlander V6 which has longer ratios and aims fuel efficiency. What do you think about 237hp CUV with lets assume 27mpg(altho I think that more can be squeezed out); Pair that up with domestic production and it should probably affordable.

theres not much on the web about a 015 evo, even if its stays the same, I would think there would be some information about it.

I really wanna know this because I got the money to buy a 014, but im wondering if the 015 would hold any changes at all. even if its just little things I might wait.

anyways

It could be like the Sportback Ralliart but just in a more market friendly body. I'm not sure pairing it with the Outlander's gearbox would be a good idea for performance though, seems like it would compromise a smaller turbo4 too much.

I can almost guarantee you that if there is a '15 Evo it will be exactly the same as the '14 with maybe a couple of tiny changes.

I think that as well, however tiny changes and what they are drive me bonkers.

..seal the battery better? or change the ugly interior door latches. new badging on the back, or black headlights. this is doubtful but new gauges and tach...so yeah

like I said bonkers!

Yeah, I know what you mean and I too would be wanting to know as well - but I'm thinking tinier changes then that like...option packages growing or changing content (the same stuff regrouped). A new or discontinued color, maybe. - But we'll see.

Well it isnt performance idea, as it is "higher trim" package idea. Its aimed at sporty, but actually not really sporty customers. (the ones that buy pseudo sportcars-that usually aren't good for anything, but yet have a significant portion of the market)* *the ones that nag for every comfort, mpg or whatever they get to nag about, the ones that first see the fault and never the goods of the car

Well so far HERE Nokia navigation is coming. But I think there could be more comfort related options. AS&G isn't expensive technology, and Evo guzzles at standstill for instance, I don't know for US, but my EU spec evo has [ECO] function or some sort of it. They could always throw more aluminium, plastics or maybe lighter exhaust system or sorts(akrapovic is claiming that their exhaust has 27kg's less than stock Evo's!). But most of all I'd like to see a slight power bump, 15kw is really enough and it isn't asking too much.

2015 STI specs just came out. It still has the same engine, but different body and interior, and better suspension, i wonder how it will stack up against the evo. i would venture to guess that it will not be quicker or much better handling than the current evo we have.

Hence, they will still make it for 2015, even longer, until they replace it with the turbo-diesel-hybrid we have been hearing about for the last 2+ years.

Yea. I'm torn between the two. many reviews on new Sti seems to be good. Since I had evo x in the past, I may even consider new STi but I am still waiting if there is going to be 2015 evo x.

I don't think you can go wrong either way at this point. the new sti chassis is super hero like.

its running the Ej which makes you drive with doubts. however the EJ has tons of support and is proven to handle stage 2 done right with good reliability.

I think all the pros and cons of sti vs evo are well known. sti is better daily, better freeway rpms, softer dampers and such.

and if you have already owned an evo, Id say get the sti. im coming the other way right now, from sti to evo. but prior I did evo9 to 11sti. the 11 sti was MILES better in everything but tip-top performance.

IMHO we are years from a new evo, you have time to enjoy an sti for now.
