New Mitsubishi Models2015
I don't think you can go wrong either way at this point. the new sti chassis is super hero like.
its running the Ej which makes you drive with doubts. however the EJ has tons of support and is proven to handle stage 2 done right with good reliability.
I think all the pros and cons of sti vs evo are well known. sti is better daily, better freeway rpms, softer dampers and such.
and if you have already owned an evo, Id say get the sti. im coming the other way right now, from sti to evo. but prior I did evo9 to 11sti. the 11 sti was MILES better in everything but tip-top performance.
IMHO we are years from a new evo, you have time to enjoy an sti for now.

Agreed. It is only a matter of time before they making it start to be another Maxima just as they have done with the Altima, Sentra, .......
I say stop making the EVO and make some products that actually sell here in the US, Monetro, Galant, Sigma or whatever. Start competing with other car makers with solid products.
Once MMC is back on target get the EVO back on line, b/c 291hp is laughable in a EVO in 2015. When the 1st Evo came stateside the Hp was crazy for the price but now...
Luckily the car is so mod friendly it almost negates the low HP, but that comes at a warranty price..though warranty and MMC never did understand each other

outlandersport's are selling very very well. if you have not seen a new one go check it out. you can even have s-awc and mivec, HIDS and the RF sound package. I was told a 226 hp version was coming very soon , which makes sense cause it is the same 4b11 engine. im thinking a simple ralliart engine right???
its funny cause the normal outlander is garish, and goofy even. it has some good features but nothing stands out of class and its ok inside.
the new little mirage gets a push button start fast key system, and gets some insane MPG on 87 oct. this car will sell I think
I not worried about mitsu, they are in a transition of sorts, they have been making heavy machines for a long time. the Japanese zeros that attacked peal harbor where Mitsubishi. their stocks are holding good, but they don't need to put their shades on yet.
they still have resources for motor sports like pikes peak......that platform I believe is the bud for the new lancer evolutions successor.

And before I forget. How do you guys like the idea of a turbo diesel Outlander because Mitsubishi has made them for the Euro market and hasn't introduced them in the US Market as of yet. Not too sure...
Diesel is much more popular in Europe, not so much here.
Americans can accept a hybrid, but a hybrid performance car is a stretch. A Diesel hybrid performance car is even more of a stretch for the American market.
The best way for diesel to gain acceptance in the American performance market is if the engine is based on the 4G63/4G69. Cuz we'll find a way to bolt on a DOHC head and convert it to gas.

Not much of a change if u ask me... specially since they mentioned it was taking cues from this concept:
