Talking Jpn Evo MR Pics

I had posted this in another thread but I think it got buried in there somewhere so I am posting it here. I hope that this is not considered against the rules.

As promised, I have put up some of my shots from my visit to the local Japanese Mitsu Dealer. They were surprisingly cooperative and let me shoot pretty much as I pleased - I guess it helps that it was a rainy Sunday afternoon with no other customers in sight too.

Anyway - you can find a simple photo gallery that I just threw together here:

http://www.lonewolfone.com/EvoMRGallery/index.htm

The original Pics are about 2000 pixels wide @ 300 DPI - if anyone is interested in copies of the originals, please email me and I'll try to accomodate your requests. Please allow me some time to get back to you though, as I will be travelling throughout the next 2 weeks, so I may not have a net connection until at least the 24th.

Best,

Hash.

That is such a sick ride! I would love to have that parked in my garage next to my blue evo!

Those are some great pics!!!! You think you can send me a few of those to mitchubishievo@yahoo.com? I'm interested in seeing 2,4,5,6,7,8,10 and 11 please . It's cool to finally see an MR on the stock enkies, as the BBS rims are an expensive option. Thanks again for snapping those pics.

I thought the MR was coming without the wing? I saw on a TV review that they shed the wing to save weight...along with many other things...

That's weird that it has the Enkei wheels instead of the BBS. Maybe they hope the buyer wouldn't notice and sell them on the side.

Love that rear bumper...I didnt notice the rear diffuser. Maybe the BBS rims and diffuser are dealer options.

Yes to both of your comments - Both are options.

While the car that I shot at the showroom didnt have one on it, the Vortex Inducing Roof Spoiler is an interesting bit - especially if you have never seen one. Its a black line of evenly spaced, short vertical fins that spans the trailing edge of the roofline.
Pretty wicked.

I'll try to get some shots of it and those bright yellow Bilsteins sitting in the wheelwells when I return to Japan in mid July.

Cheers,

hash.

Esarteefor, that's the RS your thinking of; it shaves 300 pounds by losing the wing, A/C, radio, H.I.D's, and some sound deadening material. The MR is essentially the "Type R" of Evos; it gets back the ACD/AYC, front diff, loses some weight, and gains some power. Overall, it's one hell of a car finally coming to the U.S. in about a year.

On the dash picture...I wish they would have put "Evolution" instead of "Lancer" in that little circle on the right.
