is lag really that bad? seriously try waiting for 6500 rpms for a cam profile change :\ and it's still not that fast.

Naah, it's not THAT bad. I was just concerned that the 10.5t would be a bad match for a six speed. Seemes like a better match for a five speed, is all.

well think about it, six short gears vs five longer gears. Wouldn't it make sense to you that a faster spooling turbo would work better with shorter gears?

With shorter gearing however you have more mechanical advantage from the gearing. You can get away with slightly more lag with lower gearing, because you have more RPM's per MPH because of the lower gearing. It is air flow and heat that spool up the turbo, air flow in high reving engines is proportional to RPM up to a certain RPM (HP peak). So with lower gearing you will have a higher RPM at the same MPH, this will help out the slightly more laggy turbo. The lower torque at a lower rpm due to lag would be masked by the increased torque due to the lower gearing (i.e. more torque). Just my opinion on the matter.

Hmm, I think you are correct....that would make sense. Whoops, I feel dumb.... 9.8t then would be the ideal turbo for a 5 speed, 10.5 ideal for six...hehe...

I tried to tell you guys, the MR's equipment package is not 100% yet! My dealer thinks it is going to be a OPTION PACKAGE! That would be a disaster!

That'd make it ripe for price gouging, too. Ugh.

Dealer called yesterday and said they were preparing to send all my info on MR off and basically no options just color option. Which is good!
