wait for the MR or HKS version?
Not sure if this has already been asked or posted. Is a HKS Rally-spec Evolution supposed to hit the U.S. shores?

HKS Rally-spec Evolution
Another, more potent version of the Lancer Evolution is headed our way soon, probably later this year, from noted aftermarket tuner, HKS. With Mitsubishi pulling out of SCCA rallying this year, a number of engines intended for use in the race car were left without a home.
But not for long. HKS U.S.A. president Jun Toyoda decided to put them in U.S.-spec Lancer Evolutions and offer them up to the public. Because of HKS's longtime association with Mitsubishi's motorsports programs, the company has the expertise to install these powerplants. It's the next-best thing to having a factory-tuned car.
Toyoda says that this new car, the Evo Rally-spec, may be the ideal tuner car. "Think about it. These engines were developed by the manufacturer to compete in international rallies, which are in effect endurance races, so they're made to be durable. They should be putting out near 400 bhp when we're done with them."
HKS will also add the visual touches, such as the gold wheels and body kit, if the customer so desires. Whether HKS can make these cars street-legal remains to be seen. But where there's a will there's a way, and we'll soon be seeing these hotted-up Evos on U.S. roads.
For those interested in a little subtler form of tuning, HKS offers its turbo package for the Evo. A larger turbocharger, as well as exhaust system, will bump the horsepower to about 300. If any of these tickle your fancy, visit the HKS website at www.hksusa.com.

Yes, but history should teach you that if a vendor like HKS actually does sell a few of these, they will DEFINETLY be the ones to keep. Think Shelby GT350/GT500 vs. well, you get the picture.
Convertible Hemi Cuda anyone? Saw a real one at a car show...all #3/12 of it's bad self. Guy had a for sale sign on it if anyone's interested. A scant $550K.
If you want to keep it, go for the rare ones. They always hold their value the best. Period.
